Immersive Conference Booth Design for Common App

Common App, a national college application platform, was the highest-level sponsor for the 2024 NACAC (National Association of College Admissions Counseling) conference. The purpose of the grandiose booth was three-fold: grab attention from across a massive conference center, serve as a consultation and troubleshooting space for school counselors, and center joy: a Common App core value.

To accomplish this, we designed bright blue and green booth with a tower that rose above the other conference booths and was easily spotted from across the exhibit space. We incorporated an “expert bar” with high top desks, and seats, for counselors to speak to a Common App tech. To center joy, we designed a paint-by-numbers mural for attendees to complete across three days, as well as an inner, green “counselor corner” adorned with bulletin boards you might see in an actual school counselor’s office, fun swag, and lounge chairs to take a breather.
